Why I came back to building rooms
I learned this trade early, building patio covers and enclosures, then spent a number of years in other work before I came back to it. In 2023 I started Manhattan Beach Sunrooms & Patios here in Manhattan Beach so I could build rooms the way I was taught, planned with care and finished cleanly. I treat every home we work on as if it were my own.
Most of our calls come from homeowners with a patio or deck they hardly use who want it turned into a room they'll be in every day. I come out to every job myself to look over what's there, measure and plan the room, and our own crew does the building. I care most that you understand what you're getting before you sign anything, so I explain each step before it happens. One contact from first visit to walkthrough
The person who measures your home and plans your room stays your contact through the whole job, right up to the final walkthrough. You won't have to explain your project again to someone new halfway through.
A room planned around what holds it up
Before we design anything, we look over your patio, slab or deck, because the room has to be planned around what will carry it. If something there needs attention, you'll hear about it at the start and not once the walls are going up.
A plain answer on heated or unheated
We explain the difference between an unheated room and one with heating and cooling in plain words. That way you choose the room you'll actually use through the year, not just the one that sounds good at the estimate.

Permits with the City of Manhattan Beach
The City of Manhattan Beach's Community Development department takes permit applications for building and remodeling work, and its list names patio covers and decks. Before work starts, we check with the office that covers your address, prepare and file the paperwork for any permits your room calls for, and keep you told where it stands, since work and inspections begin only after a permit is issued.
